This clever little application hides open windows, but has a few flaws in functionality. Hide Window Now has an appealing, clean interface that lists open applications with a check box next to each. You can quickly hide all windows by clicking Hide, exclude any windows from being hidden by checking the box, or restore hidden windows by selecting Show. You also can rename any window in the taskbar to hide its true name from others. (With this feature, a gaming site could easily show up as "Research Library.") Unfortunately, name changes are only for the current session. Under Settings, you can choose hot keys to hide windows, add password protection, and indicate other preferences for start-up and use. You can also create and save a list of windows that won't close when the Hide button is used. In our tests, using the mouse to hide windows didn't always work the first time, but the hot keys produced instant results. Hide Window Now is for anyone wishing to prevent nosy passersby from seeing what is, or isn't, open on his or her computer.Publisher's description

"Would be good, if it worked reliably"
Pros: I like that it easily hides windows.
Cons: The problem is, it worked at first, but then increasingly began to not load on start up, or that is, it would load - say it was loaded - but would not work.
I asked the maker about it and he said try hitting Windows + 2. That did not work. He then said "Well, then I don't know". Okay, well, gee, thanks for your grand effort...
Also, this program does not allow you to CHOOSE the hot keys to use to engage it, it only has 2 options.
Still, it would have been good, if it had worked.
I use XP Home edition, Ser Pack 1.
