IP concealment is a breeze with Hide My IP, though disabled functions in the demo thwart try-before-you-buy lovers. Users can quickly mask their IP address in Internet Explorer with a simple click of the Hide IP button. The program searches for an available proxy server and quickly replaces yours with one it finds. We were impressed with the program's quick response, but disappointed that the demo doesn't let you use timed IP shifting, launch on start-up, or Firefox compatibility. Nor can you freely select proxies, as you an in competing applications. With a mere three-day trial period, Hide My IP will probably appeal more to greenhorns than net-savvy surfers looking for anonymity.Publisher's description
From Hide-My-IP :Hide My IP allows you to conceal your identity on the Internet. Surf anonymously, hide your ISP name and location from websites and hackers, mask your IP in email headers, and un-ban yourself from forums by changing your IP address anytime you wish. Select from dozens of our private network IPs or open network IPs from all over the world. Hiding your IP is as easy as clicking the "Hide IP" button. Change your IP address automatically every few minutes or automatically mask your IP when you start your computer.
Version 1.9 includes support for our anonymous private network IPs, faster IP searching, an updated GUI, and minor bug fixes.

Version: Hide My IP 1.9
"They kept my money and gave me nothing!"
Cons: Why is this? Do you expect me to just give away $8.95? Your advice to date has been poor and without thought and now you expect me to pay for your mistakes? I believe I will get my money back. This is just one more instance in which you are wrong.
I'm so angry, if I could, I'd sue you just for the time I've wasted sending emails and looking for non-existent programs you claimed were available.
If you don't return the rest of my money within the next week I'm going to file an "item dispute" with PayPal and let them take over some of the time consuming aspects of returning what is rightfully mine. I've researched and found I have 48 days from the payment to file, although I'm going to file earlier; on the 7th of July.
If I can't get any satisfaction from PayPal's item dispute, which I don't forsee, then I'll go to the forums were Hide my IP might seem to be to someone's advantage, and post my experiences and explain how prospective customers might just be throwing their money away by using Hide my IP's services.
All I have to do is draft it once and post on every poker and gambling forum known on the internet. I'll post that I felt my questions were being answered by someone oblivious to their company's products in an extemporaneous manner. I'll be sure to mention I was "stonewalled" for the last 10 days ending in a partial refund for services I wasn't able to use for one minute.
I could post every email I've sent and received and let others judge how I was treated.
Again I've spent a lot of my time on an email I should never have had to write. It's a shame I put so much effort into something for a reader who'll skim it at best and not really take the time to comprehend, as many times before.
Sincerely,
Lisa Hutchinson

Version: Hide My IP 1.9
"Faster than other IP hiders, great support. Overall: awesome!"
Pros: I have tried numberous IP hiding tools (anonymizer, ghostsurf, netconceal) and I base my review on comparing Hide My IP 1.9 against these products. One feature I really like about hide my ip is it lets the user choose to use either it's own private IPs (which are quite fast) or open network IPs (slower, since they come from all kinds of counteries). NONE of the other tools I tried had that feature. I can even set Hide My IP to change my IP every minute if I want!
I also like the high level of security that comes with this product and the ability to hide my "user agent" (info about your computer sent our via your web browser when you surf).
I called their support number once before I ordered and once after, both times I got a LIVE PERSON who promptly answered my questions.
Overall, this is an awesome tool for many uses. Well done!
Cons: I was having trouble getting this tool to run on startup, but I found out later my firewall was blocking it. It DOES NOT work with P2P programs, unless you do some manual configurations. This is the only part that is kind of disapointing for me.

Version: Hide My IP 1.9
Cons: 1 IP change upon installation/3 day limit unless you purchase this product. Also.. before this program will install on your system, you will get a pop up window to downlaod an additonal file. Otherwise, it won't install.... (no way around it).
IMHO, not worth the trouble.

"Pages Don't Display Properly"
Pros: Hid IP address. EZ to set up and use.
Cons: Pages did not display properly. Some websites would not work at all.

Version: Hide My IP 1.9
"I bought the whole package, the license key, AND the Back up CD,"
Pros: I do not like all the glitches, but when it does work it is nice.
Cons: it freezes, it makes debug errors, it interferes with everything, and I have been waiting for the "back_up" CD I ordered for 6 weeks now! Maybe the disk will install better.
I think they should give everyone who paid for this glitch ridden a free premium upgrade
Before we file a class action law suit, in which we get our PC's fixed up from the damaged caused by this program we all purchased.
