This program offers several ways to protect your files and folders from would-be intruders. True to its name, Hide Folder can quickly obscure any files, folders, and drives so other users won't see them on your computer. The program contains a wizard for walking you through the process, but the interface is so straightforward you may not ever need it. If you want additional protection, you also can encrypt documents using one of nine secure algorithms, including Blowfish and Rijndael. Unfortunately, you can't encrypt entire folders. If you want to let a program such as an antiviral application access locked folders, you can add it to a list of trusted processes. Other users won't be able to access Hide Folder unless they have your password, but, just to be safe, you can run it in stealth mode to completely obscure its presence. "Promising but not functioning"
Pros: Promising product. Note no recent reviews.
Cons: Purchased, downloaded, received license key. License key does not work, support and sales do not respond to emails AND the support URL is not valid. Highly recommend that the product not be tried and NOT purchased.

Pros: it does a great job of easily hiding folders.
Cons: its not that hard to get past the securith. just reboot in safe mode.

Summary: Interestingly, I had the same problem. Reboot, then crash/reboot. Had to go to safe mode and uninstall Hide Folder demo to get pc back. Oh well, the market will weed these products out.
