"Good Program, Missing features"
Pros: Pros:
Excellent tagging capabilities: Control over TXXX taging in ID3, and it recognizes most nonstandard tags while supporting multiple comments and embedded images.
Superior database features with support for Acces, MSSQL, and MySQL. Can transfer existing databases to another format, and switch databases on the fly.
Great renaming functionality with masks for both tags and database fields. Will mask multiple folders deep, and move files along with other files in the source folder (I keep other metadata in the same folder as the media: full size cover images, album reviews, CD rip logs, etc.)
Good intelligent playlist potential.
Cons: Cons:
No iPod support:The power of this program is wasted without proper DAP support.
No custom fields: Why use such powerful database engines without letting users harness that power?
Cannot customize existing fields: Things like Release Type (album, single, soundtrack, etc) are set in stone and cannot be appended or modified.
Weak Replaygain support: It will recognize RG tags and use RG data during playback, but it cannot scan files and calculate RG data.
