From LiteMobile Software :Headwind GSM Modem Driver is designed to send and receive SMS messages using a GSM modem or mobile phone connected to the PC. The software automatically configures the GSM device and chooses the best operating mode according to the device capabilities. The short messages are sent from and delivered to your own phone number, no gateways required. The software supports long SMS and Unicode characters; it can be used to send USSD commands (e.g. to check the mobile account balance).
Headwind GSM Modem driver provides a COM/.NET API which allows third-party Windows applications to perform SMS messaging through a GSM modem. Version 3.1.0717 includes the utility for bulk SMS sending.
