While this program helps bring some order to the mess that is mass media, a few more features would improve its capabilities significantly. This freeware RSS reader comes with more than 800 preset news feeds and a built-in browser that allows you to read articles without quitting the program. To add feeds, simply drag and drop a link into the Headline Viewer list. The interface, however, isn't the most friendly. To remove feeds, you've got to dig around in the Settings menu, as there's no simple delete function. What's more, we couldn't find a way to aggregate or filter news from the feeds. If you choose to include feeds in languages other than English, the Headline Viewer redirects the page to Altavista's BabelFish translator--and we couldn't get it to stop. Overall, a decent program for managing RSS feeds but there aren't enough tricks to make it great.
