CNET Editors' review
The popularity of your site depends to some extent on the download time of its pages. By removing unnecessary tags and characters, HTML-Optimizer reduced page sizes by an average of 20 percent in our testing.
The utility handles HTML, JavaScript, PHP, and CSS scripting. Since the optimized code is hard to edit, HTML-Optimizer creates a duplicate site you can synchronize with the source. The Smart Handling feature lets you upload only the pages that have changed. Options let you choose what to optimize, as well as whether to block some folders and file types from optimization.
The standard version of the program offers no tools for managing several Web sites, as the Pro version does. All things considered, we can recommend the program to professionals who manage one main Web site.
Publisher's Description
From Tonbrand Software:
HTML-Optimizer speeds up your Web site by optimizing HTML and script code of your Web pages and optimizing JPEG and PNG images. It helps you keep organized by creating a duplicate site folder for the optimized files. An added benefit is that it leaves your original files untouched. You should use your original web folder for editing and use the duplicate web folder for uploading.
HTML-Optimizer features Smart Handling, supports XML and can handle web pages with any text encoding. It offers many options to customize its operation to your special needs. Drag and drop is supported.
What's new in this version: Improved optimizing HTML code.

"Fist look at this product"
Version: HTML-Optimizer 10.38
Pros
Nice Piece of software. Easy to use and seems to do the job. The price is right and they offer different versions for various complexities of your website configurations.
Cons
Registration is a problem area. the instructions are not straight forward.. It would be nice if they would just email your serial numbers and be done with it. Tech support gets a little testy f you are bit confused on the registration process.
Summary
I would recommend this software to others. I think the company should consider making the registration of the product as easy as other developers of shareware.

Cons

"The perfect finishing touch to website creation"
Version: HTML-Optimizer 8.4
Summary
The software is very friendly,
intuitive and definitely speeded up the downloads of my site. You don't worry that anything is going to happen to your original files and the process is extremely fast. I had one question about uploading after optimization and I got an immediate response from the owner. The price is reasonable, too.
