HTML Converter is a free utility for converting special characters to corresponding HTML character codes (for example '©' -> '©' or '"' -> '"') in HTML, PHP and ASP files. These character codes are required by web browsers for displaying special characters correctly. HTML converter will also handle correctly JavaScript and Cascading Style Sheet code.

What's new in this version:

  • Rewritten from scratch. New conversion engine is written in pure ANSI C, which is about 10 times faster than previous version of HTML Converter.
  • 100% Cocoa, so it runs as native application under Mac OS X.
  • Support for ISO Latin-1 encoding added.
  • Application is released also as command line tool (HTML Converter CLI), which is available for various platforms including Mac OS X, SunOS, FreeBSD, OpenBSD, NetBSD and various distributions of Linux.
