Publisher's description
From miray Software :The Free Edition of HDClone is the ideal tool for moving or cloning contents of entire hard disks on larger ones. Since it works on a physical level it can be used with any operating system and any filesystem. HDClone copies the data for you. This allows you to transfer entire system installations to a newer hard disk quickly and easily (hard disk migration). You only have to add the additional space on the disk via a partitioning tool. Since HDClone has its own operating system and is self-booting, it can be used even if the installed operating system is damaged. Therefore HDClone is also a great solution for data rescue on damaged hard disks or system installations. The commercial versions HDClone Basic Edition, HDClone Standard Edition, HDClone Professional Edition, and HDClone Enterprise Edition offer extended features.
Version 3.2.9 features extended ATA/SATA device support, new SpeedTest.

Version: HDClone Free Edition 3.2.9
"This software required 20 hours to clone a 80GB hard disk -- useless software"
Cons: I paid AUD $ 27.00 for the software and when I try to use this software, it took 5 hours to copy 25% of 80GB hard drive. This is useless software that I have ever seen.

Version: HDClone Free Edition 3.2.9
Pros: Would not copy 2 identical disks. Wants you to buy a version. This is crippleware.

Version: HDClone Free Edition 3.2.9
"Works Nicely for simple cloning"
Pros: This software did exactly what was advertised. In fact, it succeeded where other tools (maxblast 4.0, drive copy xml) failed. The user interface was simple and intuitive, and the time estimate to complete the copy was pretty accurate after just a few minutes into the copy.
Cons: The free version is really limited. It will only copy the entire disk (not individual partitions), and it is very slow (~9 hours to copy a ~150 GB disk). The pay version is supposed to be faster (Though I don't know how much). But, if you don't mind letting the computer run while you sleep, it does the job!

"the free Version is very limited"
Pros: It's free and well documented
Cons: No USB Support -> not suitable for Notebook environments

Version: HDClone Free Edition 3.2.9
Pros: when i decided to upgrade to a larger hard drive i started looking at migration software. . i wanted a least cost solution. hdclone met and exceeded my expectations. it isnt as fast as some tools i have tried ,but it does produce an exact mirror of the source disk. once started you can go away from your computer and let it do its work. great software.
