Version: Greymatter 1.3
"Really free! And pretty easy if you know basic cgi config."
Pros: I had this up and running in just an hour, and it does everything I want it to do so far. Granted, I have a minimal amount of experience with setting up the CGI-bin path and some basic html skills (but not an expert).
Cons: If you aren't familiar with CGI files and where they reside on your webserver... the install might be trickier (the docs were not completely throrough).

"Easy to install, but how to configure?"
Pros: As previous reviewers mentioned, it was easy to install. Not automatic, but the directions are good and I had it up in an hour on my Suse Linux server running Apache2. The config checker worked well.
Cons: The index.html that comes in the zip file is blank. So how do you set up your webpage to access the weblog? There should be a Hello World default template/index.html file that you can modify rather than an empty file. I've read through some of the support group entries, but still don't know what to do next.

Pros: I am not one of those who know what I'm doing, but, this was EASY. I opened my site, loaded it right into the files mentioned, and it worked! I had it installed in 20 minutes. Spent 2 hours going over every aspect because I thought that surely I must have missed something. But nope. It could have been set up and designed in less than an hour. And, it's a very easy program to use!
Cons: After loading this I seen that the creator had a newer version. I wish I would have used that - I do get leary to upgrade. You know what they say, if it's not broke don't fix it.

Cons: The 1% CON is that you must download it, then setup the online portion.

"Easy to use, install, and customize"
Summary: I'm a non-coder, but Greymatter has proved to be easy to install, use, and customize. Is fast and fully functional. Will even check all of your configurations for errors! I changed it to fit the look and feel of my site with no problems.
