This free browser works, but doesn't offer users any compelling reasons to replace their current program. GreenBrowser is set up in the basic style of popular browsers like Firefox and Internet Explorer.
The good news for new users is how intuitive the buttons feel and how quickly anyone familiar with those systems can adapt to GreenBrowser. Its homepage offers a variety of links to entertainment, technology, and news sites. The program also touts "special" features to auto-fill forms and prevent ads, but these have become standard in many browsers.
While GreenBrowser searched for sites and functioned properly, users must ask themselves what they are looking for in a browser. If you're looking for more features or functionality, you won't find them here. All the standards are here, and they worked fine. We didn't like that a Google search from the homepage opened a new tab without asking and didn't bring that tab to the foreground. Users may not realize tabs and sites are open because of this confusing quirk.
With so many top-notch browsers on the market, even a minor quirk can take a program out of the running. GreenBrowser works, but if you're already happy with your browser, or are looking for new features and functionality, there's no reason to download it.

Version: GreenBrowser 5.0.0509
Pros: Tabbed Viewing and the biggest pro, to me, is that it supported ROBOFORM right off. This is really important, to me.
Cons: Doesn't have the "Home" button on the tool bar by default. You have to click on CUSTOMIZE and add it. Tabs show up with DIM lettering. Didn't even notice them when I first used browser, so thought it wasn't working when I tried to go to a web site.
Summary: This is a real good alternate to IE and even Firefox. The latest versions of Firefox are slow to open. Greenbrowser opens fast and is with some exceptions real easy to use.
