GreenBrowser is somewhat of an Internet Explorer clone, though it has some supplementary features that just might entice IE lovers.
Once launched, you'll see this application bares a striking resemblance to the popular browser, but you'll also quickly notice that its interface is cluttered with options. Buttons to swap fonts, save Flash files and use different search engines worked, yet they make for a busy layout. Fortunately, some of those options are easily hauled out of sight. We like its tabbed browsing capabilities, but some pages were slow to load. GreenBrowser's search bar can be set to give results using Google, Yahoo, MSN, GreenBrowser itself and others.
GreenBrowser brings something new to the surfing experience: the application rests a little green G icon on top of other opened programs to instantly head back to the last active Web page with little mouse effort. You can drag the icon to rest anywhere on the screen or get rid of it if it annoys you. Skin options are available, though you'll have to download them. Some may think of it as muddled, but users who grow impatient with searching through menu options to accomplish tasks will like the way this free browser offers up everything in a nutshell.
