CNET Editors' review
Chrome is Google's attempt to make the browser disappear and to focus on the applications and pages users are viewing, rather than on the border with its tools. Some of Chrome's basic underpinnings are quite novel, but people will recognize other features as they exist in other, open-source browsers on the market today.
Currently only for Windows, Chrome is blazingly fast and is easily the quickest browser available. Based on Webkit, the same open-source engine that powers Apple Safari and Google's Android mobile platform, Chrome's interface is a drastic departure from other browsers. Instead of the traditional toolbar, Chrome puts its tabs on top. Moreover, the tabs are detachable: "tabs" and "windows" are interchangeable here. Detached tabs can be dragged and dropped into the browser, and tabs can be rearranged at any time. By isolating each tab's processes, when one site crashes, the browser does not.
Within each tab are individual controls, such as forward and back buttons. The search box and the address bar have been fused into a hybrid "Omnibox." The Omnibox includes not only suggestions for URLs culled from your browser's history, it also includes search suggestions from your search engine, and remembers site-specific search engine results. There's also Application Shortcuts, a feature that allows you to create desktop icons for Web-only applications, such as Gmail or Calendar. The stealth mode, Incognito, lets you surf without the history recording cookies.
Chrome lacks plug-ins, and there's the potential for high memory usage given that each tab is its own process. If you're addicted to Web apps and a need for speed, though, Chrome just might be the shine your browsing experience has been looking for.
More than just speed in Chrome:Publisher's Description
From Google:
Google Chrome is a browser that combines a minimal design with sophisticated technology to make the Web faster, safer, and easier. Use one box for everything--type in the address bar and get suggestions for both search and Web pages. Thumbnails of your top sites let you access your favorite pages instantly with lightning speed from any new tab. Desktop shortcuts allow you to launch your favorite Web apps straight from your desktop.
Version Version 1.0.154.46 includes unspecified enhancements.

"Google Should go away! DO NOT USE THIS BROWSER."
Version: Google Chrome 1.0.154.46
Pros
It has a nice interface and Fast, THATS WHERE THE COMMENTS STOP.
Cons
Powered by a lame engine, Safari engine. User interface confused me a lot and it lacks many features like ftp uploader and etc.
Summary
I have used Google, IE, Firefox and Xtravo Explorer. The best among them is Firefox and Xtravo. Firefox is the best as we all know but Xtravo is totally beyond browsing. Xtravo has to offer many features that browsers lack along with new features like Document Explorer and Image Grabber.
I would suggest users to use Xtravo (www.jawoco.com) and Firefox (www.mozilla.com) Best Browsers are these rest is Crap. -

"This is odd"
Version: Google Chrome 1.0.154.46
Pros
The thrill of the ride, I'm a bit wierded out by my short experience with this browser.
Cons
??? Strange, yet curious. Not sure what to make of it. Certainly not blazing fast, just odd.
Summary
Appears inflexible, limited.
On further investigation.....YUCK!! Google should stick to what they do best. No wonder they called it Chrome, looks bright & shiny, but really serves no purpose. Maybe they were chroming when they came up with this half-baked rubbish.

"Absolutely the best browser I've used!"
Version: Google Chrome 1.0.154.46
Pros
Very visually appealing
Automatically spell checks
Bookmarks bar is very easy to use
Not cluttered with useless plug-ins
Super Fast browsing
Simple
Has never let a pop-up get byCons
Not quite as customizable as other browsers, but I never mess with that stuff anyways, so personally it's not a con for me.
Summary
I've used Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Safari, and none of them compare with Google Chrome. It's fast, looks great, and doesn't look cluttered like almost every other browser out there. Try it now. If you don't like it at first, give it a day or two. Even though there aren't quite as many customizable options, there are still plenty of options that you can set to your preference. The built in pop-up blocker works flawlessly. Pretty much everything about it is perfect.
And if your like me and like to visit your favorite websites often, use the bookmarks bar. I know that the other browsers have this feature too, but none look this smooth! -
"My favorite browser"
Version: Google Chrome 1.0.154.46
Pros
Fast, awesome interface, very comprehensive compared to other browsers.
Cons
It does crash every once in a while.
Summary
I use Chrome as my main browser and only use other browsers (i.e. Internet Explorer) for web page tests. I would recommend it to anyone.

"Need For Speed Chrome"
Version: Google Chrome 1.0.154.46
Pros
Fast
Nice Visual Looks
Enough of all the five million plug ins required to make a good, effective, but slow browser (firefox).
Nice and simpleCons
None that I can think of
Summary
If you are looking for a nice fast simple browser to view webpages on well you've found it.
If you are looking for a web browser which has loads of options and preferences, themes, plug ins etc. then Chrome is not for you, however, once you try it out you will be addicted to its speed. -
"Impossibly fast"
Version: Google Chrome 1.0.154.46
Pros
*fast browsing- pages load up in 1 second
*tabs can be moved around and be turned into windows
*simple, clean, and effective interface
*crashes don't force me to shut down my entire computerCons
*No add-on support
*Most of my programs for internet browsing enhancement don't work here
*opening up multiple tabs can hog up my memory and processing speed.Summary
Awesome.
Wow! it it even loads up faster than Firefox!!!
thats the one word I have to say for this. Sure, my add-ons don't work here, but all those were for making browsing faster which I don't need because chrome is fast enough.
(P.S. OpenDNS + Google Chrome + a wireless N router makes web browsing ridiculously fast!!)

"Fast, But Reliable?"
Version: Google Chrome 1.0.154.46
Pros
Blazing Fast Performance
Very Simple Look
Very Good SecurityCons
Doesn't run Flash and Java that Great
Freezes SometimesSummary
It's a good browser, but, and always with Google, freezes and crashes. I don't trust it, because of Google's History, but It's a good browser. I kind of think that FF is better, but can't be sure
