Thanks to this program's step-by-step tips, managing your files and folders is as simple as a few clicks of your mouse. GoodSync successfully synchronized important files between folders on our computer, as well as on our USB device.
To a novice, the user interface might appear a bit overwhelming; however, step-by-step pop-up windows will quickly guide you through navigating the program. All we had to do was browse for the two folders that we wanted to synchronize. We were even able to browse for files on external devices, including a USB thumb drive. The program quickly analyzed our folders and displayed their contents into two separate panels. We were able to pick out the specific files to include in the synchronization and, using the Sync feature, we synced the folders so that they each contained the same files. We were able to view all of the changes, as well as any conflicts or errors. You can apply filters using the Program Options menu.
The program doesn't include a built-in help feature, but it does feature an online manual and FAQ through the publisher's Web site, and the 30-day trial is more than enough time to find your bearings. We highly recommend this file synchronization tool for all user levels.

"Excellent. Useful for several things. Powerful. Best."
Pros: Fast

Well known brand
VersatileCons: A more side by side style display would be easier to read.
So much power/options can make it hard to interpret.Summary: After trying many products to compare burned DVDs with the source file this program is my current winner but it could be better with a more side by side merging display, more like winmerge. Version: GoodSync 8.0.1
"Great - I rely on it to keep my computers up to date."
Pros: Well, of course, it is just so convenient to update something on one pc and automatically have it updated on another. I could not cope with such a fast paced job and life without essential assistance like this.
Cons: Oh, the panic if it stops working for me!
Summary: The reliability is important to me and it takes the worry of not having important information at hand out of my day.

Version: GoodSync 8.0.1
Pros: Works great, offers much more then a plain one-way back up program. Lets you pick from a crowded folder only those files that you really want to take out with you on your lap-top (just an example).
Cons: I just recently realized that I could not back-up or transfer a file or folder that is on the desktop.

Version: GoodSync 8.0.1
Pros: Works great and silently behind the scenes. Easy interface, updated often. Fast backup with great estimated times.
Cons: Too many updates. Feels like there is an update every month, yet I don't have any issues with the current program. I don't like the way they changed backing up to portable media. Annoying message pops up.
