Publisher's description
From Siber Systems :GoodSync is an easy, secure, and reliable way to automatically synchronize and back up your photos, MP3s, and important files. Backing-up and/or synchronizing your critical documents is as easy as one click, and can also be scheduled using a variety of automatic options. True bi-directional file synchronization prevents any data loss. Good Sync can be used to synchronize data between your desktop PC and laptop, home and office computers, computer and removable devices (USB Key, Flash Drive, CDRW disc), over a local network or the Internet.
Version 7 adds the ability to back up or sync over an FTP, SFTP, or WebDAV connection.

Version: GoodSync 7.7
"Extremely good! But so is the competition SyncBack."
Pros: Really haven't used it much (because I use the free version of SyncBack by 2BrightSparks which is also so good.) GoodSync will also backup your pocket PV (ie: Palm Treo Pro etc) which is an extra. Also backup setup very user friendly.
Cons: NONE of these backups will get 5 stars until someone develops a REPLACEMENT to MS-Outlook to work with MS-ActiveSync. GoodSync will BACKUP a pocket PC, but you cannot read anything ON the pocket PC.
Summary: I think I've mentioned most of it.
Pocket PC -- NOT 'PV' !!

Version: GoodSync 7.7
"GoodSync is a great program and easy to use."
Pros: I like keeping certain data synchronized and it is fairly easy to use.
Cons: I does get confusing at times on its synchronization and can be difficult to use if you don't pay attention to what you are doing.
Summary: I would recommend GoodSync for anyone that is computer literate. If one doesn't know much about operating software, it is not recommended.

Version: GoodSync 7.7
"Excellent file synchronization program"
Pros: Goodsync is much faster than my previous file synchronization utility. I use it to synch my entire Drive D with an external drive. Goodsync has sense enough not to copy certain folders, such as Recycled and System Information.
Cons: The user interface isn't the prettiest around and the free version has some limitations. You need to spend the money for the Pro version to get full functionality. However, I'm always happy to pay a modest fee for a program that I use regularly.
Summary: Goodsync is much more reliable and faster than the Duplicator feature in Retrospect, which I had been using before. I also tried the free Sync Toy II from Microsoft and was not impressed with it. Goodsync is a good, solid program that performs its t... read more >>

Version: GoodSync 7.7
Pros: Goodsync is not free, but the best things in life usually are not. . . GS is the best program for syncing between drives -- fast, accurate, reliable
Cons: None per my experience

Version: GoodSync 7.7
"Best Value-Best Program- A Must Have!!"
Pros: After trying the demo for only an hour I paid for the full version for my PCs and Laptops. Works effortlessly with Roboform and I have come to depend on it to keep my external drives, portable drives and all my computers in sync. Has NEVER failed me.
Cons: My only regret is that there is no MAC version! I added an iMac and Mac Air to my network and although they can access and edit the external files I can't check to see if the files on the Macs or the Mac's external drives are in sync.
Summary: For a novice the defaults are simple to understand- will backup and/or sync ANY PC file. For the advanced user, you can fiddle around with the settings to ensure it preforms exactly what you expect. Upgrades are painless. I am a frequent traveler an... read more >>
