Use it to play, edit, mix, and analyze audio, or apply special effects, such as fade, equalizer, echo, reverse, time warp, noise reduction, silence reduction, pop/click filter. New files can be recorded from cassettes, albums, radio, or digitally copied from audio CDs. Real-time visuals are displayed during playback and recording. Supports MP3, M4A, WAV, WMA, OGG, and many more formats. Includes built-in tools, such as Batch Processing, CD Reader, File Merger, and Effect Chain Editor.
Version 5.23 changes device naming to work better with Vista and fixes an index-out-of-bound problem on some Vista systems.

"Fantastic audio tool for digitizing LPs and cassettes"
Pros: Easy & intuitive; Manual is relatively complete, forum is terrific with helpful people, & Chris the administrator/founder is THE BEST. Control over audio sound is complete & I feel as though I can finally do the project.
Cons: No negatives yet.
Summary: Heartily recommended.

Pros: Many editors give you lots of option. GoldWave is not only has all of those, also does these operations of higher quality. This program's talents and standarts are really awesome for its price!
Cons: Not as good as professional editors, of course.
Summary: Professinal and bigger programs may be better but they are more complicated and need hardcore systems. For an amateur user, GoldWawe is the best choice.

Pros: a very detailed product. i've never taken an interest in sounds/ music tampering on the computer before but this product got me curious. recommended. make the most of the free time.
Cons: beware when recording, if you press 'stop' you record over what you've just recorded. if you press 'pause' you're ok. i'm a frequent user of 'sound recorder' you see.
Summary: this product was better than i expected. there was me ready to re-record my wav files and it actually converted them accurately to mp3's. impressed. like it! like it! like it!
