This free toolbar bundles a few potentially useful aids, though it relies heavily on Google and requires costly downloads.
Goebel Desktop Search Toolbar installs quickly, adding another toolbar on your browser for checking your e-mail, blocking pop-ups, and performing quick searches on your desktop, Intranet and the Web. The toolbar also includes a feature to highlight your keyword in search results. You can enlarge Web pages using the zoom function. The search function gives results using Google's search engine, and the e-mail button only accesses your Gmail account.
Its desktop search function is supposed to let you search files on your computer, though it requires you to download Google's Desktop Search software. The Intranet search function also requires an additional purchase from the publisher. Lastly, the pop-up blocker works well at blocking basic pop-up ads, but banners and flash ads are ignored.
This free utility can be used both at home and in the office, but with the issues mentioned we can't see why you'd need it.
