Publisher's description
From Gspace :This extension allows you to use your Gmail Space (2 GB) for file storage. It acts as a remote machine. You can transfer files between your hard drive and Gmail. This is similar to "Gmail Drive" on windows platform. Your Gmail account looks like a FTP host and you can upload and download your files. After you install, you get an option called "GSpace" in your "tools" menu clicking on which opens the window for transfer of files/folders.
Version 0.3.3 fixes the problem of newly-uploaded files not showing up.
CNET Editor's Note: The Download Now link will prompt a local download of the Firefox extension. To install the extension directly, open the file using your Firefox browser.

Version: Gmail Space 0.3.3
"Works great for big file sizes"
Pros: At first, it seems pretty simple because all it does is interface with Gmail and send an email to yourself with the file as an attachment. I can do that myself. But, it does an excellent job of getting around the Gmail 10Mb attachment limit by automatically breaking large files into small pieces and uploading those.
I would recommend setting a filter in your Gmail account to filter all messages with GSPACE in the subject to archive. That way you wont see all those email attachments in your inbox.
Cons: None yet, works well. It's fairly slow though. I tried to upload 1 Gb file and it took about 5 minutes to process before it even started to upload. I didnt wait to see how long it would take to upload the 52 part message. But if you are patient, it will work.

Version: Gmail Space 0.3.3
Pros: While loading up your email account storage space is not a new idea, this tool makes it a breeze with it
s intergration built into a drop down menu, right in your browser, is nothing short of FANTASTIC.
Simple to use, just click (Tools) scroll down to the new GSpace icon. log into your gmail, browse your files in left window, select what you want to upload, wait for the file to appear in left window, your done. Open source rules! Keep'em commin, M$ will eventually crumble...
Cons: Not much lets new users know how to use. If you've used an FTP (file transfer program) like Ws-FTP you'll be right at home, common layout.
As an earlier reviwer said, theres lots of confusion how to install FireFox XPI files for add-ons. I've converted droves of people to FireFox from M$ since they have abandoned us for years with Internet Explorer, leading to the mess we have now spy/malware.
An easy fool proof way to install XPI files, simply set up FireFox to start with a blank page. Then drag-n-drop the file anywhere in the window, auto install will start. Close and re-start FireFox... Thats it your done.
