Publisher's Description
From Nicksay:
The GNU Image Manipulation Program (Gimp) is an open source, free program capable of powerful image editing, retouching, transformations, and more, much like Photoshop. The downside? As of now, there's no native Cocoa/Aqua/OS X build, just X11. The answer? Gimp Control. It helps to integrate Gimp with the rest of OS X by providing a "mirror" of its X11 functionality on the Aqua side... Get a real Gimp icon in your Dock! DoubleClick XCF, XPM, PSD, JPG, GIF, TIFF, and more in the Finder and have then open in Gimp! Launch/Quit Gimp Control and have Gimp launch/quit AND still ask to save any open, modified documents!
What's new in this version: This is a 0.1 release. Read: beta! Right now, a limited configuration is accepted. If your setup isn't supported, sit tight and wait for a future release! (Just wanted to get this out the door ASAP before trying to support everyone...) --NOTE: This release requires quite a bit of software to already be installed and configured. It is primarily targeted at those already running X11 & Fink and/or those who do not mind running beta software and/or installing some UNIX software.
