"Works well, but creates needless context menu entries"
Version: GetFoldersize 2.2.0
Pros
A good, no-frills file / folder size display GUI. Works as advertised and is free as in "free beer," which is nice. Helped me identify and remove about 100 GB of wasted space across four HDDs.
Cons
Creates context menu entries for all folders / recycle bin / drives / etc, which is exceedingly annoying to me, might be OK to others. I used ShellMenuView to remove the context menu entry; the program itself is all I want.
Summary
A nice little program. Very kind of the author to release it as freeware. However, the aforementioned context menu entries (i.e., "right-click") menu entries are overkill and an annoyance, IMO; it would be nice to have an option at installation time to bypass their installation. Again, it wasn't too difficult to remove those entries with ShellMenuView, but context menu clutter is a real problem. Others may find this a positive feature, but I already have right-click menus that span the height of my screen, I don't need more options.
My system is Windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit SP2.
