GeoDB is a database application that holds earth location data. It makes the locations available to be imported into applications. GeoDB stores the following data:

  • Latitude and longitude of an Earth location, stored to high precision.
  • The time zone data in the form of time offset from Greenwich.
  • The elevation.
  • The rules for computing daylight time.
