From Mark Overmar :Game Maker allows you to make exciting computer games without the need to write a single line of code. Using easy-to-learn, drag-and-drop actions, you can make professional-looking games in no time. Games can have backgrounds, animated graphics, music, and sound effects, and once you get more experienced there's a built-in programming language that gives you full flexibility. What's best, Game Maker can be used completely free of charge, and you can use the games you produce any way you like. You even can sell them.

"Free and its a enjoyable experience"
Pros: Its pretty easy to use. Once you learn how to use it you will be making games in no time. You dont have to program unless you want to.
Cons: It takes a while to learn how to make the games.

Version: Game Maker 6.0
Pros: Making a maze game is like the easiest thing to make with this software. You can even make animation out of it!
Cons: I dont know how to make a 3d game without coding.

Version: Game Maker 6.0
"Perfect for people needing a creative outlet."
Pros: This program is great for me; because I have a gaming idea, and I don't want to be overwhelmed with unneccesary programming concepts.
Game Maker 6.1 has unlimited (literally) possibilities for making programs that allow interaction with a user.
You can easily add images, sounds, and animated GIFs (so I believe) with the click of a button.
The many hundreds of buttons (throughout various parts of Game Maker 6.1) are very clearly labelled (any extra information you need can be found in the well-structured help file).
It serves its purpose for me by:
1. Easy to use interface.
2. Fully customisable (and I haven't even delved into Game Maker's programming language).
3. The program is fully-functional as Freeware (i.e. it has no ulterior motive)
Game Maker would be fun for adults and kids with creative minds (and good ideas)...
Cons: While kids would find this program easy to use; there are a few programming concepts (like sprites, and how everything in a program interacts; and some variables if your game idea goes that far) which would need explaining or would require help by someone that knows how it works.

"The abilit to make rpg, maze, platform, game is here"
Pros: You can create game without no coding lesson. Except for making 3d game you'll have to know code for that. Also when it comes to making multiplayer games. Very easy to use!
Cons: Should have some easy way of make 3d game though without coding.

Version: Game Maker 6.0
Pros: I heard a lot of good stuff about this program, and it looked pretty cool too.
Cons: Well it said I was missing an important file (like always) then a series of errors popped up. To bad I couldn't try it out.
