GFI MailEssentials is an award-winning email antivirus and anti-spam software solution for Exchange Server and other mail servers, which protects your network against email-borne viruses and other malware threats and delivers a spam capture rate of over 99%. It filters out spam email, phishing scams and viruses through various security layers, including up to five antivirus scanning engines and multiple anti-spam filtering technologies - such as two frequently updated anti-spam engines that require no tweaking, IP reputation filtering, greylisting, directory harvesting attack protection and more. It is managed via an integrated web-based configuration and management console and dashboard. GFI MailEssentials also adds various email management tools to your mail server, including email disclaimers, email monitoring and redirecting based on custom rules, email reporting, list server, server-based auto replies and POP3 downloading.

"An anti-spam solution for a really good price"

Pros
We?ve recently installed Gfi mailessentials and it?s been working well and filtering spam as it?s meant to. End users can help with the process by dragging any spam that does filter into their inbox to their spam folder.
Cons
It took a short while for us to ?train? the filter ? about 2 weeks or so ? so that did require some extra maintenance
Summary
Makes my job a lot easier too! This is the first Gfi product that I?ve tried but I?d definitely recommend it as a staple anti spam solution. It's a great solution.

Pros
Server level filtering gives administrators complete control thanks to new features with GFI Mail Essentials version 11. This version is incredible! Complete customization for every service and you can now enter your own DNSBL server. Each service can also be arranged in priority. This software package from GFI has worked for me completely and is inexspensive.
