With a translation database exceeding 220,000 German words and phrases, including many scientific and technical terms, GE Trans produces draft translations which can be readily polished into a finished translation, or simply used as a reference. You can easily modify entries in the database, or add your own new translations. Edit your text with many formatting commands and maintain the text style and format during translation.

"Free version Excellent for on site, copy and paste translating."
Pros: When Brett Kitchens is surfing the German based UseneXT site he subscribes to, he minimizes 'GE Trans' to his tray, and copies and pastes text into it quickly, as needed. Works perfectly. Also, can contribute comments to the site in German when desired by using it.
Cons: Doesn't translate slang or loose German phrases very well, but has all cuss words (lol). Free version truncates large amounts of text. Too expensive, worth $15.

Pros: Overall it has good translations.
Cons: Comes with spyware. Spyware Doctor picked it up and when I removed it, GE Trans was gone.
