From PrestoSoft :FtpVC is a version control system which allows joined development using Internet FTP connections. It permits developers to get, check out, check in, undo check out, label files on a remote server, that are part of a software project. It also allows comparing files on the server to their local versions showing results in a two-pane window, view remote files, and examine history of their changes. FtpVC optionally stores old versions of files.
Version 2.4 can roll back a file to one of its previous versions, set local file time to a revision (version) time authenticity, and add empty directories when doing a recursive add.

Version: FtpVC 2.4
"Perfect solution for teams without a dedicated server"
Pros: Most CVS/SCM software require to be installed on some server, where they manage a database with the history of the source code. But what about those smaller teams who can't share a company network, and at the same time don't have the money or reason enough to pay for a dedicated server on the internet where they eventually could install a CVS service? Well, with FtpVC all you need is a simple web hosting account with FTP access, and you still get all the functions you need to keep the code organized, while a team updates source or binary files. The software integrates directly with ExamDiff (their own file comparison solution) but you may use any other software as well (like Merge), as you have full control over the command line to call the external tool you may prefer. The company's support is fast and helpful, should you need ever them. A cosmetic bug I spotted was eliminated in less than a day and the software works just flawless.

Version: FtpVC 2.4
Pros: Ease of use, ease of implementation, intuitive UI, prompt tech support. Has really helped our decentralized team of 3 developers.
Cons: Not as feature rich as $2000 PerForce but an unbeatable value for the $50 license fee.
