Like many similar programs, this tiny freeware utility converts audio files among four popular digital-audio formats: WAV, MP3, WMA, and OGG. But Free MP3 WMA Converter succeeds where many of its peers fail: it provides a simple, reasonably attractive interface that puts commonly used features up front and less common ones where they don't get in the way. Conversion is a simple matter of dragging and dropping the source files to the application window (or browsing to them), selecting the output format, setting any advanced options, and hitting the start button. The program comes with a basic yet convenient utility for editing file tags, and a separate audio ripper with built-in support for FreeDB. "Please keep your arms inside until the car comes to a complete stop!"
Pros: Seems to work for FLAC to MP3 files, my only concern.
Cons: Not at all happy with this install. There is MUCH extra garbage attached to this program. Even after unclicking EVERYTHING I still wound up with an extra folder containing files for one of the programs I specifically DID NOT want.
Then it tried to sneak in a file sharing program. Unclicking isn't enough to quash this one. It comes back with a strangely worded "Are you sure you don't want this crap?" message.
Be careful what you choose, because it responds instantly. As the Knight Templar said to Indiana Jones, "He chose poorly".
I wound up with the file sharer, which IMMEDIATELY tried to dial home. Fortunately one of my firewalls blocked it from getting out until I could get it uninstalled.
Then, when I finally got to crank up the ONE program I thought I was getting, it opened a browser window and loaded it's own home page anyway, before finally showing me something that looked like it might actually convert some files.
Definitely not for the faint of heart! I'm running Norton tonight!

"Converted file is of low quality"
Pros: Easy to use. Very intuitive. Fast.
Cons: Tried to convert an m4a to mp3 several times using different songs, but each one had digital skips and breaks in the music. I even tried at highest quality settings, but same outcome. If they got those quirks fixed, then I would definitely try again.

Pros: Easy to use, functional, and free
Cons: Too many excess programs you probably wont need (more of an annoyance than problem)

Pros: nothing.
Cons: everything! hard to use, no help at all, let alone the fact that it doesnt even work!.
