Version: Free Hide Folder 1.6
"Terrible support. Lost my encrypted files"
Cons: I installed this program to protect a folder of personal information and can no longer retrieve or even see my folder and the files within it. I contacted the company, Cleanersoft, and received one suggestion that did not work. Several more emails were not answered. I am furious that my files are gone. I uninstalled the program, to no avail. I tried Safe Mode to see if the files were observable; they were not. I installed and uninstalled the program several times, rebooted after doing each, and still no files. If you want to lose your encrypted files and folders, and get no help from the company, this is the product for you!
PS: If anyone reading this has any suggestions to retrieve my files, please write to me.

Version: Free Hide Folder 1.6
"Stupid program Does not work."
Cons: I tried it on vista. It just changes the name of the folder to some strange name. I can still see the files under the changed folder. 100% useless.

Version: Free Hide Folder 1.6
"It disables the normal windows hide folder system"
Pros: Easy to use, works well to hide the files and folders you want it to.
Cons: After having used it for a few minutes and then turned off the program I discoverev that I couldn't see any hidden files that was made hidden by just rightclicking on the file / properties / hide
I just wasn't able to view them, I went in and out of 'folder options', (not sure it's called that in english, translated), in the control panel and turned 'hide files and folders' on and off many times, experimating with apply and ok. Just didn't work. I couldn't view them. Then just as a last resort I tried uninstalling 'Free Hide Folder' and it suddenly started working again.

Version: Free Hide Folder 1.6
"I think it is a great program:)"
Pros: I have had no problem with Free Hide Folder. It is simple to use and something I use a lot. Very handy. There is always something you don't want seen by others on your computer. Very happy with it.
Cons: I forgot my password and was not able to get in my folder for a long time. I just did download it again to start over, but when I started with a new password and new folder it opened the folder and there was all my stuff I thought I lost. Go figure!
