"Terrific software; worked flawlessly"
Version: Free CD to WAV MP3 WMA AMR AC3 AAC Ripper 3.6
Pros
Easy installation, intuitive interface, range of format option
Cons
nothing that I can think of
Summary
I used it to rip CDs to MP3s and AC3s. Seldom have have found free software to download so easily and to work so well for straight-forward tasks. If other software from this company works as well, they are real winners!

"Does not work to rip CDs to AAC."
Version: Free CD to WAV MP3 WMA AMR AC3 AAC Ripper 3.6
Pros
Nice intuitive interface... but it does not consistently produce valid AAC files from CD. Very frustrating.
Cons
Tried to rip CD to AAC to put on a DSi. Some wouldn't even play in Windows. None would play on DSi.
Summary
Eventually uninstalled this and tried BonkEnc, which worked perfectly for this very specific purpose (rip CD to AAC playable on DSi).

"Indeed easy to use."
Version: Free CD to WAV MP3 WMA AMR AC3 AAC Ripper 3.6
Pros
What I like best is the easy to follow interface.
Cons
It is actually not very fast but well for a free product, it is good enough.

"Well, it's free"
Version: Free CD to WAV MP3 WMA AMR AC3 AAC Ripper 3.6
Pros
Cost=Time only.
Installed without incident.Cons
Runtime errors and crashing.
No custom naming conventions.
Gibberish file names.Summary
While this program didn't cost anything but installation and testing time, it just wasn't worth the effort. It installed without incident, but every time I try to change any settings it always comes back with runtime error 713 and crashes. It doesn't allow you to chose a naming convention (perhaps if I could change the settings?), which is irritating, and although it found the correct CDDB info for the disk I tested it with, many of the file names it ripped came out gibberish - not what it found in the CDDB. I'm running Win7x64. I can neither use nor recommend this product.
