From Poikosoft:Free CD-DA Extractor rips audio CDs and converts audio files. The application supports the following formats: MP3 (MP1, MP2, MP3), MPEG-4/AAC (M4A), OGG Vorbis (OGG), WAV, Monkey's Audio (APE), and FLAC formats. The application supports buffer underrun prevention technologies. The program offers multithreaded buffered CD-ripping and encoding, copies "copy-protected" CDs, offers error recovery, reads audio from badly scratched CDs, has the ability to download and upload disc information from/to the freedb, the Internet Compact Disc Database. The Free CD-DA Extractor features volume normalizer and compressor, fade in/out, silence deletion from the start and end of a song, and reads and writes CD-Text.

Cons: Contains a adware item called Search Centrix. What it does is display pop-up advertisements on your computer who needs more pop-ups. Webroot Spy Sweeper would not let me install the program because of the adware so I disabled Spy Sweeper and installed the program after the install I ran Spy Sweeper and it got rid of the adware. And after all that I still wasnt impressed with Free CD-DA Extractor 4.8

"A+ ***Best Audio Converter I have used. DRAG AND DROP INTERFACE."
Pros: This program is FREE and it is perfect. Nothing extra simple drag and drop and convert. Select different outputs. Accepts m4a (iTunes uses this). Seriously I have tried other ones USE THIS ONE. No spyware as far as I can tell.

Pros: Fast, good quality, didn't retrieve only one cd out of about 50. And the best of all: free. I also found no ad-ware or spyware.
Very smoother than the popular musicmatch for ripping cds.

"Good tool. but beware of spyware"
Pros: allowed me to change my m4a tunes into mp3 quickly and easily.
Cons: I guess nothing's for free, so the spyware is there as a price.
