Publisher's Description
From Yellow Mug Software:
OS X lets you add folders to the Finder's sidebar, or the right side of the Dock. This excellent feature provides quick access to frequently used folders. This is great except ... all folders look the same.
FolderBrander lets you easily change the look of your folders - pick a different color and add a short text label.
Found some nice folder icons on the web? Add them to FolderBrander's custom icon set (just drop them in there), and setting folder icon becomes easier than ever.
What's new in this version:
- Added support for multi-lined text label
- Added slider for control line spacing
- Added open/closed hand cursor for improved user interface

This is dependable software - always works and fills a need! Been using updated versions as they appear, for years. The app is up to Snow Leopard now!

"No more blue folders"
Version: FolderBrander 2.2.4
Summary
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
Using FB to add text to a folder-icon is perfect for doing just that to any plain folders you have in your "dock." No more hovering the mouse/cursor just to see the name. This helps when dragging an item from the Finder. You can now drag directly into the folder whose name you now see (provided the Dock is not in hide & seek mode). If you do have the Dock in H&S mode, simply drag back & forth along the screen-edge, then, move the cursor over the (now) named folder-icon and release. -

"Longtime wish granted"
Version: FolderBrander 2.2
Summary
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
For almost as long as I've been a Mac-er (years adn years and years ...) I've wished for an easy simple way to customize and alter the appearance of folders. FolderBrander comes so close to realizing that wish that it's as good as granted. Why "so close" then? Well, you've got to leave a little room to change and grow, as happy customers like me learn to take FB for granted and life returns to normal. Top marks all round. -
