CNET Editors' review
Adobe's latest version of the Flash Player browser plug-in is just as trouble-free as previous versions, existing unobtrusively in your system until Web-based animations, games, or ubiquitous Flash ads require its services.
The latest version downloads and installs quickly, and will probably always require a browser restart. Our tests turned up nothing to make us scratch our heads, and upgrading from version 9 to the current one has fixed for many people a bug that caused embedded video to freeze.
You need a Flash Player to experience the Web at its fullest, so users at any level of expertise should have no qualms about installing or upgrading to Flash 10.

"Adobe flash player get worse with every update."
Version: Flash Player (32-bit) 11.7.700.202
Pros
Pretty much need it to view videos online and has always been the standard for flash players.
Cons
Adobe Flash Player retrieves updates automatically on my PC, but it seems that with every new version, performance suffers, videos freeze-up, and I wish I hadn't updated.
Summary
After some research, I hope I can find a different flash player for my online video viewing, as the Adobe Flash Player just seems to be more unstable with every update. You'd think they could get it right after as many years as they've been doing it.

"Killed ninemsn video for me"
Version: Flash Player (32-bit) 11.7.700.169
Pros
Everywhere else it seems to work great.
Cons
Ninemsn video's died, can't find a way of getting back to the last version.
Summary
If it's not broken don't fix it.

"Fantastic Example of Bloatware"
Version: Flash Player (32-bit) 11.7.700.169
Pros
There are none. This is the dead-end of Adobe Flash Player, and they don't care whose day they ruin.
Congrats, Adobe! You now rank below Comcast, and only slightly above dogfights!Cons
Bloated, balky, and ridiculous, the new "standalone" iteration of Flash Player launches itself and takes up ENORMOUS numbers of CPU cycles, and will not shut itself off when not needed.
I suspect malware, and/or spyware comes with this pig.Summary
I would gladly pay for a non-Adobe flash player. Until I can find a workaround, I'll be skipping flash movies.
-
"It don't work and kills other media programs."
Version: Flash Player (32-bit) 11.7.700.169
Pros
There are no pros I could find.
Cons
Latest "upgrade" has no audio and kills every other application that uses audio.
Summary
Rating systems only account for how well an application works. They don't take into account what damage they do. I wish there were negative stars maybe call them black holes to stay away from.
-
"lousy nothing but trouble they really messed up on this"

Pros

Cons

"Blows. Just...blows."
Version: Flash Player (32-bit) 11.6.602.180
Pros
None. Really.
It's crap.Cons
Massive, bloated and worthless, the strong-arm Adobe mafia once again shoves crap on the public.
Threatening legacy providers, they have tried to sew up their disastrous legacy with this piece of junk. You cannot go back to flash 10 unless you saved a download of it from years ago.
Pure junk, and yet another reason to despise this high-handed pack of imbeciles.Summary
Hoping that greed and meanness brings about the end of this wretched company.
