The Net has led to a resurgence in animation, largely thanks to Macromedia's Flash format. This nifty program extends the capabilities of Macromedia's own Flash player, allowing you to rewind and fast-forward though Flash-based movies. Supporting both SWF and EXE file formats, it provides the ability to resize and watch videos in full-screen mode, and lets users create playlists and extract movies from the Internet Explorer or Mozilla caches. The features worked well with all the videos we tested. If you're a Flash movie fan, you might want to give this program a try.Publisher's description
From Eolsoft :Flash Movie Player is a standalone player for Shockwave Flash (SWF) animations, based on Macromedia Flash Player plug-in. In addition to all Macromedia Flash Player abilities, it has a lot of extended features, such as playlists, animation rewinding, advanced full screen mode, .exe projectors support, Internet browser cache integration and multilingual interface. Moreover, Flash Movie Player can extract flash movies from .exe projector files and save them in SWF format and has hotkeys for all frequent operations for convenient flash animations watching.
Version 1.5 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, or bug fixes.

Version: Flash Movie Player 1.5
Pros: This is a good replacement for Flash Player on your computer. If you don't have Flash, Flash Player only comes as a plugin for the browser, which is not ideal for playing SWFs off your hard drive. Flash Movie Player has a simple straightforward interface and the play/pause/seek features works really well. Even if you do have Flash Player, you can't seek or pause. You also get to use playlists, and Flash Movie Player is a portable application (You can extract the exe file in 7-zip or similar and re-name the directory that contains the .lng files to "Language".)
Cons: Flash Movie Player can have problems with non-animation, action script based SWF files.

Version: Flash Movie Player 1.5
"Didn't live up to expectations"
Cons: Merely entering the url of a youtube video wasn't enough to get it to load and play, it took some fanageling, and once a move loaded and began playing, the Start, Stop and Pause controls on the application began flashing and dozens of javascript browser windows opened. After letting the video play in its entirety (to make sure it was completely downloaded) the Save feature didn't work, and using the browse cache feature didn't reveal any videos that were previously viewed via my browser. The Help file didn't offer any tips, and is written in broken English.

Version: Flash Movie Player 1.5
Pros: It's small, portable, with navigation and playlists. It also can extract animation from *.exe flash to *.swf files (very useful when you want to see not only in Windows or your *.exe movie file was infected by virus).
Cons: Action scripts can make a big problems with navigation.
