Pros: Unlike other products from 'Totalidea Software' this product seems to be working.
+ Free & Simple User Interface.

Version: FireTune for Firefox 1.1
Pros: I have a new computer and a cable modem. Firetune changed the settings so that now pages load instantly.
Cons: The program has to be installed. They should just let it operate on its own. You don't need to use it very often, I'm sure.

Version: FireTune for Firefox 1.1
Pros: Firetune is a simple to use program that configures Firefox settings to take advantage of your computer and connection speed.
To optimize, you simply click the appropriate box (i.e. Fast Computer/Fast Connection). It tells you on the screen what it considers to be a fast computer and a fast internet connection.
On two following tabs it gives you options to enable other performance tweaks, cache objects over SSL, display an error page rather then a dialog box when attempting to connect to a bad url, and to auto complete urls from history.
After optimizing Firefox using Firetune I was surprised to find that it did in fact increase the speed of my already speedy browser.
Cons: This program is really only good for Firefox users, they do not have any program(s) to help with Internet Explorer or Opera.

Version: FireTune for Firefox 1.1
Pros: Have only been using FireFox for only 1 wk. Good browser, but it seemed a little on the slow side when opening some web sites. Downloaded FireTune and it seemed to make a difference. There is a way to find out. Before selecting "Tune it" select the "?" on the top right corner of the program screen. "Help & Information", "How to tell whether FireFox is faster", and follow the instructions. On mine it was a big difference.

Little system resources
Cons: FireFox should include it in the browser program.

Pros: It was quick to use.
Cons: I didn't notice any difference at all. I have a slow computer with a blazing connection, BTW.
