Publisher's description
From QueTek Consulting :File Scavenger is a file-undelete and data-recovery utility. Files accidentally deleted from Windows Explorer, the Recycle Bin, the DOS command line, or a network share can be recovered along with original folder names and the dates that files were created and modified. Reformatted volumes, broken spanned volumes, or broken hardware and software RAID volumes also can be recovered. Digital photos on almost all media can be recovered.
Version 3.0 has been improved and can find lost data under more situations, runs up to twice faster, can scan very large disks containing many million files, offers a more streamlined user interface, can save and reload a session so that a disk needs not be scanned again, supports both NTFS and FAT/FAT32 volumes and can scan disk image files. English, German and Japanese versions are available. It also contains some bug fixes.

Version: File Scavenger 3
"Found deleted files and recovered them excellently"
Pros: Search registry for files that have been emptyed from the recycle bin and recovers them fully (on most small files(about 500MB and below)).
Simple as that, recommended.
Cons: Seemed to tell you that it will lose information but never really does for me.

Version: File Scavenger 3
"Fantastic!! Saved 10,000 .mp3's and hundreds of photos for me."
Pros: Easy to use. Very effective. I lost all my data when installing a new hard drive. File Scavenger saved me!! Program can easily find all files, or you can specify what type of files you want recovered. I also liked the fact that you can have the program ignore files that were purposely deleted. Great program.
Cons: Costs $45. But it is worth every penny!!

Version: File Scavenger 3
"Don't Sleep On This Program!!"
Pros: I love file scavenger(professional), I should start my own data recovery company with this program. I use file scavenger 3.0 & RecoverySoft Data Rescue 1.5 (IT version), they both are great products & don't need to be installed, you can run file scavenger off a cd or flash disk. I use file scavenger at least twice a week for customers.
Cons: I wish it was bootable& ran on all Windows OS like RecoverySoft Data Rescue. But it's still a great program.

Version: File Scavenger 3
Cons: This program retrieved my Microsoft Office documents, mp3 and pictures. However, there were no names attached to the files. Most of my word processing is in WordPerfect. It did not recover any of those files. I found another program that recover all my files, including my Wordperfect files, with their names. I was extremely disappointed in this program.
