This bulk-renaming utility is fine for quick-and-dirty jobs, but too limited for serious use. For each selected file, it adds a numeric increment to the end and either replaces the original name with one you provide, or attaches the new name to the beginning or end of the old. So, for instance, testfile.txt and anothertestfile.txt might become mytestfile001.txt and mytestfile002.txt. Settings allow the user to specify the starting point and number of digits of the increment. A history feature, disabled by default, permits restoring files to their original names. However, File Renamer can t rename a hierarchy of folders at once, nor can it save renamed files to a different folder. The interface is not very attractive, yet quite straightforward, thanks to the Walk Me Thru feature, a step-by-step wizard of sorts. If you only need to rename a folder's worth of vacation photos, File Rename Utility can do the job. But if you need a solid renaming utility for professional use, try a more developed program.Publisher's description
From BurnSoft :File Renamer was created to rename multiple files, while keeping the original file extension. It makes organizing pictures by location or category easy. This application also comes in handy when renaming log or project files, basically any project or task that has multiple files that need to be renamed a certain way.
Version 3.1.0.22 adds a wizard to walk users through the renaming process.

Version: File Renamer 3.1.0.22
Pros: It works, but too troublesome in the end.
Cons: Too troublesome to use. It works but limits to users like myself, who uses a simple yet advance renamer.
The look/theme needs working on.
Too many options to take care of for each folders and files.
Of all renamers, seem like File Renamer Basic would be the best for everyone to use, the program even has more reviews and rating than most others (including this).
