Publisher's description of File Renamer Basic 4.0.3
From Sherrod Computers:The extremely easy-to-use File Renamer allows you to rename many files at once based on a wide set of options, even while viewing thumbnails. You can rename MP3 files based on ID3v1 and ID3v2 tags, and you get a tag editor. The renaming features apply to sequential numbers, letters, dates, file filters, and you can find or replace part of the filename. You can delete characters, put letters in uppercase or lowercase, add or remove file extensions, and place separators in multiple locations.
Version 4.0.3 contains a complete rewrite to the ID3 editing/viewing engine. It's now much faster and much more stable.

Version: File Renamer Basic 4.0.3
Pros: Although newer versions of Windows already have this function built in, some versions need this function. It does its job quickly and efficiently.

Version: File Renamer Basic 4.0.3
"Wish We Had This 10 Years Ago"
Pros: Renames a Group of Files Very Easily (well easier than if you had to do a dozen of them by hand) and if you have 100s, this is the program to use.
Cons: I am not sure if this is a con, but I am here because I know CNET does not allow Spyware programs, yet System Mechanic 7 flags this program as a Keylogger, and I would like to know why and who is right/wrong.
