For common pop-ups, FightAds is serviceable, if not necessarily full-service. The utility did a fine job of killing pop-ups in our test, but its database is too small (about 50 possible threats) to power a robust adware remover. Besides its lack of a browser toolbar, the interface is just what you'd expect, and you're notified when windows or other intrusions are blocked. We found that the program only works with Internet Explorer, despite its claim that it supports other browsers. FightAds doesn't hinder normal browsing, but it consumes a bit too much system memory. In addition to its primary function, the program also will clear your cookies, browsing history, and cached Web pages (though the manual doesn't say how often). We'd recommend FightAds first and foremost as a simple pop-up blocker for users facing garden-variety ads.

  "Maybe it is good but it appeared not very good for me"

  Pros: After it is installed, FightAds blocks some kinds of pop-ups

  Cons: There are pop-ups that are never blocked by it. In addition, it blocks new browser windows that are not pop-ups at all! For example, when I press standard Ctrl-N

  key combination to open a new browser, it says it is a popup and blocks it!

  "Totally worth the monthly fee, I'm always protected"

  Summary: Very easy to download and very user friendly. One of the first softwares that really keeps me protected from all the ad-ware and spy-ware out there!

  Summary: I know a lot of security software companies are "gimmicks," but this for sure is not. It does what you need. It definately keeps me happy.

  "Simple to install, always on, stops ads!"
