From FastStone Soft :FastStone Capture is a powerful screen capture utility with built-in editing tools. It allows you to capture anything on the screen including windows, objects, menus, full screen, rectangular/freehand regions and scrolling windows/web pages. It sends captures to editor, file, clipboard, printer, email, Word/PowerPoint document or even your website. Editing tools include resizing, cropping, sharpening, annotating, applying effects, watermarks and many more. It saves captures in BMP, GIF, JPEG, PCX, PNG, TGA, TIFF and PDF formats. Additional features include a small handy capture panel that offers quick access to its capture tools and output options, global hotkeys, automatic filename generation, support for external editors, a color picker, a screen magnifier and a screen ruler.
Version 6 adds Line Highlighter to "Draw" tool, 'Blur' option to Line and Rectangle Highlighters, and enhances 'Text' in 'Draw' tool -- now shadowed text is possible.

Pros: The software works as promised. A little complicated.
Cons: Whatever you do keep your registration number because if you have to reload your machine ... they'll never answer your emails for a new key.

Pros: Easy to use.
Cons: The first time I downloaded this software it was free and seemed to have more functionality (e.g., no eyedropper in this version). I'm using a trial version now, and will consider other software if I have to pay.

Pros: This is a really great piece of software; its does exactly what is says; but a whole lot more! And it's so easy and intuitive. I find myself using it all the time. Yes, super high quality; integrated with MS Office tools; a remarkable tool that ranks with the best.

Pros: This is one of the most advanced image-capturing program I've ever tried (and bought). My favourite screen-capture feature is the one that can take screenshots of scroll-based windows. Saves time on scrolling down bit-by-bit and taking numerous required screenshots and then cropping, joining the images from image editing software, and then saving it. Wasting a fat-load of time, well that's what I've been doing. This software auto-saves captured images directly to a specified location, and with any image-format you prefer. Thanks to FastStone for this nice software.
