Publisher's Description
From Beaver Valley Software:
This program quickly creates the HTML Help files that are standard for the Windows platform. All you need to do is title the content for the Table of Contents, add any keywords, and write the body of the topic. It adds the topic to the table of contents. The body of the topic is stored inside the Help Writer 2 project file easily add, delete or modify the keywords visual interface so you see what the index and table of contents will look like.

"Expensive, no helps and early beta stage."
Version: Fast CHM: Help Writer 2.2b
Pros
The installer worked fine you'll have shortcuts to all the available tools.
There's a button which will paste the contents of a choosen file into the workspace, good idea.
As this is a WYSIWYG editor as well you can editor your help files right in the program.
Cons
Right at start it want to go to the Internt without asking. Until you click on the program's window - which loads slowly - you can't see it on the task lists.
It'll cause crash if your first step is to click on Compile, very funny...
Might be a surprise for this very expensive tool but actually you have no help!
Some buttons are not quite clear so you may commit suicide when you click the "new page" looking icon after you have typed in several sentences.
You can also feel something terrible when you decide to try out some functions while you haven't saved your work (fe. click Project and change some search functions): fortunetly, your work may still survived, click on the same button you used to start your work (fe. New Heading).
No info what to use as separator between keywords. Without help you may think some buttons aren't working.
All in all, this is a garbage right now, this title need plenty of work to avoid simple problems and answer for simple questions (fe. alt texts for buttons), a much lower price, an extensive help. The HTML help workshop - provided for free by Microsoft(!) - is better for the basics (that doesn't contains WYSIWYG editor but i wonder is that's from IE /not mentioned as requirement/) than this and that's freeware, why would anyone choose this? Look up the sky and say the price was a joke.
I can't recommend this download.
