"Left remnants behind when uninstalled"

Pros
Gets good ratings by 3rd party testing.
Cons
Didn't like the web browser integration with all the checkmarks and such everywhere. Also when I uninstalled it, it left behind many remnants which other AV's found and complained about. Had to find a special guide/software to actually uninstall it.
Summary
Get Eset NOD32 instead. Much better program.

This product surprises with its reasonableness.The simple interface has all necessary options.Work of this program does not brake the computer.Firewall has all necessary options, but thus it is clear and simple.Perfectly works in Windows 7.

Summary
I have installed this program after use Norton 360.5.And I have been pleasantly surprised by its simple options and ease of work.Has passed some minutes and I have adjusted this product under my discretion.I spent time a great lot for adjustment Norton.But it all the same made unnecessary actions for me (in a mode "Idle time").The experienced user can quickly adjust the program as it is pleasant to him.For example it is possible to enter any object into exceptions of scanning (a folder, archive etc.) McAfee allows to specify exceptions on each file separately. The program instruction not big, but has the necessary information.To put it briefly, I think that this fine product for computer safety.

I have purchased and been quite happy with this product for several years now.
Cons
It has been one month now & the product is unable to install. Service to date has horrendous: many e-mails; no resolutions. Tech support giving me redundant instructions without reading previous e-mails. No chat; no phone call. Zip. Nada.
Summary
I believe there are bugs in this 2011 version that the company has not yet figured out. Note: I have a Vista O.S. and have followed every recommendation they have provided. You would think they would try and help a customer that is returning for the (4th? 5th?) year in a row. So far: they have had my money for more than a month and the product is not yet up and running.

BIG MISTAKE buying this. I was happier with other security softwares from Norton and Microsoft for almost 10 years. Considering that the rating was so good for f-secure, I thought of taking the risk.
Bottom line - If you are happy with an existing anti-virus stick to it. Do NOT venture or even try F-Secure, even the free trial will bring down your PC performance drastically. -

After the repair process, the report showed the same thing: the name of the virus without the file/path and nothing about if it was in ram or just dormant in a file.Summary

This product is difficult to configure and when sending repeated requests for support I never got the help I needed.

"Good Anti-Virus/firewall"

Pros
Much better than older versions, lighter, not a resource hog, like before. Much less false alarms than competitors. Easy settings, yet powerful!
Cons
Good tech service, but bad basic customer service. Or at least here in Finland, where F-Secure is from - quite ironic. Some folder, with full of rar/zip/etc files, makes scanner the CPU hog. Some program monitors, etc are still too slow, like before.
Summary
It is not the bad bad products, but it is bot the best either. However, when you learn F-Secure, it is much easier to control from standard control panel vs competitors, what may block some program, even there is no reason and even if you allow those, F-Secure will give an options, so you can control it better.
The customer care in Finland, where F-Secure is from, surprise me with ignoring some issues, when they didn't have an answer or if customer found a bug. Like their product is perfect, it is not, like no programs. And sometimes this Deep Guard does its own, what may lead that you want to disable it, even it is a good feature. This will apply on with some cases.
Support and and slow features eat couple points, because example Deep Guard can surpise and ask permissio for program (example installing display drivers or game that change itself to full screen) when screen is BLACK! So it become frustrating then, but this is not everyday problem, and gladly many is solved. Also be careful with powerful registry cleaner, it may harm program, and e.g. Deep Guard do not work, i have seen this multiple times after Vista came, and it is still a problem with Windows 7, even it is also improved. -

Pros
Unlike many anti-virus products this one does not attempt to hijack everything you do. I can't imagine why anyone would want to get rid of it, but it can be done in 1 minute --- it doesn't take 6 hours to get it off the machine.
Cons
I have 0 complaints about this product, and this is the only anti-virus that has prompted such a comment.
Summary
Thorough, updated almost instantly when new attacks begin, often in the middle of the day. This program is very civilized and very strong.
