"Why use this trial version? There is a free version now at F-Prot"
Pros: F-Prot is one of the top providers of AV software.
Cons: There is a free version at F-prot now.

"Effective virus scanner that finds malicious files that other products don't."
Pros: FPROT finds naughty files and programs that other top-rated scanners miss. I run SpySweeper, Counter-Spy, Trend Micro and other virus/spyware scanners and they all find most malware, but FPROT found almost a dozen other bad files hidden on my computer. Also, some of the "other" scanner/shield products are too intrusive and rob too many machine cycles from the machine.
