Pros: Very good antivirus,I had once an .exe which contained a virus(I didn't know that at the time).When i opened it the virus or trojan launched itself,but the second moment F-Prot caught,secured my internet connection and cleaned up the infected files.
Cons: Maybe the interface needs to be a bit user friendly (for average PC users)

Pros: I am working in an Internet Cafe, so we already tried to use all of antivirus programs, like mcfee, norton (i hate this one),panda (this one is also good), kapersky, etc etc... but none of this antivirus suits what we needs, we all know that most of pornsites have viruses that automatically installing to ur PC, well F-Prot can detect it faster becoz of low memory requirements, not like norton sometimes it crashes, and if u have to play a game u have to turn it off, but F-Prot, is really good for me, together with Ad-Aware and Spybluster, Im glad our Cafe is working fine now, not like the old days that i have to reformat the PC to get rid of those Viruses.

"hard to use, can't manually kill viruses"
Pros: negatives outweigh any positives
Cons: can't manually kill any viruses. program found several viruses that it recognized, but cannot disinfect or kill. so they are just sitting there...right click function is disabled in program, so you are left with no options. help file is useless. I consider myself to be a self-taught medium user of computers, but this frosts me. i can't even screen print so I can manually attack these viruses, it is disabled too! don't bother with this one, what good is it if it can find viruses but can't kill them?

Version: F-Prot Antivirus 3.16c
Pros: F-Prot is a lean and very effective virus fighting tool. Just because it is a no-frills product doesn't mean it shouldn't be considered. It constantly ranks among the top of the heap. Highly recommended for those running laptops or older, less powerful systems.
Cons: I'd like to see the on-access monitor more configurable.
