Cons: found detection rate poor vis-a-vis the other anti-virus installed on my pc. the free ones like avast/avg worked better !

Pros: the only best thing about it is it beats norton Lmao.
Cons: its very gullible i did try it once when my kaspersky expire i surfed the internet and got an worm what when i conenct to the internet it disconnects me again and messes up my modem so i dont recommend u use f prot.

Version: F-Prot Antivirus 3.16b
Pros: I have used F-Prot for over a decade and have never seen it defeated by a Virus. I have seen a Virus that could not be deleted, but after a short call to Frisk Software, within 48 hours they had a patch to kill that Virus on the site. I have installed this product on several thousand computers over the years and have never heard anything but praise for it's small memory footprint, unobtrusive Virus detection and excellent track record at defending against Viruses.
I suspect the previous ratings it has received are mostly from people who have downloaded and installed it after they were already infected... Many Viruses know the executables of the Virus Scanners and if you install one after you have that Virus, the first thing it does is attack it and disable it before it can even get fully installed. Also, when a user finds 1 Virus, all too often there are a number of others lurking in the background that have not yet revealed themselves and these may be what attacked Internet access ect.. because I have never seen F-Protect mess with any connection in any way.
Cons: The GUI is not fancy, does not have lots of bells and whistles and pretty diagrams and graphs...
It cost about 25 bucks a year...
It doesn't provide the user with the 10 most beautiful women in the world!
