From NCH Software :Express Rip lets you extract digital-audio tracks directly from audio CDs to either WAV or MP3 files free on your hard drive. Extract audio from CDs to WAV or MP3 for free. Save track information or 'tags' (including title, artist, album and more) to MP3 files or create custom information. Save tags to wave files using the CART and BWF methods. This is one of the few CD rippers that can do this. Automatically link to an online database to obtain track and album name information. Complete control over MP3 encoding, including constant and variable modes at selectable bit rates. The program can be run from the command line for integration with other applications (Plus version). Version 1.60 adds the ability to reset album information.

"Fastest ripping software I've ever found - awesome!"
Pros: Super-fast ripping speeds, automatically associates titles with the tracks, and most importantly, FREE!!
Cons: Nothing so far!

Pros: Very easy to use, just insert dis, open the software and just save it in any format.. excellent
Cons: This is NOT Free! in a few days appears a message to buy it and then programs stop working...

Pros: Easy to use with clear unfussy user interface. Generous 'free trial' time.
Cons: Would like compression option - as I use the ripped copy for in-car entertainment
Summary: I chose this program for its ability to rip multiple tracks as a single file, which is not available on all its competitors. It worked quickly and (unlike the previous ripper I was using) did not distort the start of each track.

"Works, but has a painful interface"
Pros: Seemed to rip my CDs ok
Cons: The interface was harder to use than I am used to. The interface to MusicBrainz (only data base it accessed) has some problems. If MusicBrainz doesn't have the CD on file Express Rip seems to just use some random CD instead much of the time.
Summary: It's well worth the $33 to me to stick with Easy CD-DA Extractor. My time (correcting all the track titles Express Rip labels, if nothing else) is worth at least that much to me.
