Publisher's description of Expired Domain Sniffer
Find expired domain names quickly. This Expired Domain Name Suite is lots of programs in one. You can: find Expired Domain Names while you browse, search Yahoo, Google for Expired Domain Names, generate thousands of Domain Names to check for availability, search the included lists of potential domain names. In addition to combining all these programs into one, the Expired Domain Sniffer can check up to 25 domain names simultaneously.
Version 3.2 may include unspecified updates, enhancements or bug fixes.

- Version reviewed: Expired Domain Sniffer 3.2
This program features numerous tools to help you find unregistered domain names, but you'll still need a lot of luck on your side. Expired Domain Sniffer's multipage layout could use a serious redesign. Columns, buttons, and pull-downs pop up all over the place. The program really isn't complicated to use, but the interface makes simple operations difficult.
Expired Domain Sniffer handles well the basic searches it offers: all two-, three-, and four-letter combinations. Click any one of those options and the program zooms through the appropriate list only to remind you all those domains are long registered. The Custom list search offers a bit more user control. You can generate any text list and the app quickly checks for those domains with user selected Top Level Domain extensions. We were far less happy with the other domain searches. You can browse through Yahoo and Google search results and hope the program spies an unregistered domain. It checks quickly, but most users will tire of finding every domain registered.
A tool to generate names suffered from a serious flaw. You couldn't easily delete or add items from the prefix and suffix list. The 15-day demo offers plenty of time to check out Expired Domain Sniffer's features. However, users looking for particular domain name would do better to use their favorite ICANN accredited domain name registrar.
