This simple freeware application reminds computer users to take scheduled breaks and even offers a few uncomplicated stretching exercises. ExerciseMinder's rudimentary settings are configurable via a system tray icon. Choose preset intervals, from 5 to 60 minutes, minimize the program to your system tray, and go back to work.
ExerciseMinder automatically displays a window during breaks with animated demonstrations of exercises. You'll feel comfortable doing these stretches at your desk, even if you're at the office, but if you don't have time to take a break, you can easily delay or stop the reminders.
Unlike some of its competitors, ExerciseMinder doesn't lock the keyboard and mouse to enforce the rest periods. Nonetheless, users who find themselves perched in front of PC for hours on end will appreciate the reminders and stretching exercises this app offers.
From Archer Dohller:
If you spend more than few hours everyday working on your computer, chances are you have bad back and neck pain. ExerciseMinder helps you by reminding you to stretch and by suggesting some easy exercises with images showing you exactly how to do it.
