From MAPILab :

ExAlert is an add-in for Windows Messenger designed to inform a user about new messages received in his/her mailbox on the Microsoft Exchange 2000 server. ExAlert works together with Microsoft Outlook. When a new message is received in user's mailbox, the Messenger shows pop-up window with message sender's information. Clicking on the notification window opens Outlook window with the new message.
