The menu window lists Registry sections available for scanning. The main window displays results, including path, Registry key, and value, though the results columns are not sortable. The program quickly finds invalid shortcut paths, fonts, shared DLLs, help files, and programs. Functions for backing up the Registry and restoring previous entries round out the features.
The program did an impressive job removing all faulty entries, and it can save individual entries marked for deletion; though it doesn't offer a quick search and unmark function. Though it's certainly not the last word in Registry utilities, Eusing Free Registry Cleaner offers strong functionality for users at all levels.

really cleaned up and reduced the size of my registry. simple and easy to use. also has option to backup/restore registry, backup the computer, as well as a startup manager.

as far as i can tell, there are no obvious cons.

this is a simple, fast and effective free utility. i use it with Eusing's Registry Defrag (also free) program for max optimization.

I've been using it for about two years now and although I have other versatile 'System Optimizer' software installed on my PC (which do more things) I still find that EUsing Registry Cleaner does a better job at do ing what it does as a DEDICATED registry cleaner/optimizer ONLY !

great software with easy to use interface and it gets handy to defrag the registry at the start up and then it becomes easy to find and fix errors. Also it has good option of manditory backup and can recover all the scanned and fixed problems

A brilliant turnkey product. No vaguely presented options. Just backup, scan and repair. Helped me out of a tricky situation.

My only regret is not knowing about it earlier.

Speaking as someone who ran his own tech support company for three years, I don't recommend registry scanning, as a rule. If it is working, don't mess with it. For anyone but real power users, there is more chance of harm than good from routine scanning and rarely any true performance increase (the registry is just text). However, if you have a mysterious problem with installation or a feature stopped working for no apparent reason and a thorough virus scan doesn't solve the problem, registry cleaning with this product is the way to go.

Appears to work, but nearly impossible to tell how well until you buy it.

Impossible to uninstall. The "try before you buy" concept is great, but if you decide that there is a better product out there (and there are several) then it would be nice to have a simple uninstall, but no. Pass on this one.
