Eudora is a popular email client for the Mac. Loaded with features--including the ability to filter, redirect, and forward mail--Eudora fulfills just about any need you might have in trying to keep up with email. Eudora features support for LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol), automatic configuration, the ability to view and compose HTML messages, and support for graphics within messages. Eudora also features support for regular expressions in filters, an automatic spelling checker, a filter that will "speak" the name and subject of incoming messages (requires sound card), and a speak option that will even read your email out loud. Other features include IMAP support, the ability to display animated GIFs in HTML messages, and automatic mail retrieval in the background.

This 4.3 beta version is a free download of the full software package. It can operate in any of three, user-selectable modes: a Sponsored mode that allows you to use the full-featured Eudora email client at no charge, but which displays a series of static onscreen advertisements; a Paid mode, which allows you to use the full-featured Eudora email client without the advertisements once a payment has been made; and a Light mode, which is an upgrade to the current Eudora Light, yet does not have as many features as the full client available in Sponsored and Paid modes. The Light mode will include a sponsor image or logo, but no rotating advertising. You can switch between the Light mode and the Sponsored mode at any time. Please see the readme file for detailed information. This beta version expires on February 1, 2000.

Note: Before you install this beta software, be absolutely sure to make backup copies of your existing Eudora directories. Qualcomm recommends that you keep a separate copy of any mail you send or receive while using this demo.
