It presents you with musical notes and phrases in standard music notation, which you play on your MIDI keyboard or other MIDI instrument. The program uses graded Lesson Files (which can be created or customized using any MIDI sequencer/editor); users and teachers are encouraged to share Lesson Files. Learn to read music and have some fun along the way! Features include note recognition, chords, keys, accidentals, clefs, etc.; timing, rests, rhythm, tempo; instant feedback on correct and incorrect playing; help files include an introduction to music notation; example Phrases illustrate rhythmic elements, MIDI, .wav and screen Metronome; Randomized phrases discourage learning by ear. Version 1.1 includes several new Lesson Files, representing hundreds of practice phrases, and you can now also control the program from your MIDI keyboard, enabling you to keep your hands on the MIDI keyboard most of the time.
